Dec 1, 2008 - Ah, it's a trick to increase the picture quality - youtube spreads out the compression quality based on size & time, but a black frame doesn't use much so the quality of the rest of the video is improved. Check out the Wall-e trailers (they're 10 mins, but only a minute of video) and you'll see what I mean.
