Aug 11, 2007 - What technology is being used to build these visuals?

sjeiti Says:

Aug 11, 2007 - Something called processing (processing dot org). You can see this piece in action if you head to my site (sjeiti dot com, search for 'attractor viewer'... sorry, for some stupid -youtube- reason I can't post the direct link)

Mar 1, 2008 - An attractor viewer? Does this mean you pick a system, or input your own parameters to see if the system remains stable?

sjeiti Says:

Mar 1, 2008 - Well actually I'm rebuilding it from scratch right now. The basic idea is you can pick an attractor type and use sliders to move through the dimensions. A random function searches out random stable parameters. The old app wasn't much versatile, I've got the new one set up so that you can save/download the results directly (makes good wallpapers).

Aug 26, 2008 - Any desktop computer is enough. If you don't require too many fancy features, animations like these can be produced by a couple of hundred lines of program code. If you look on the web for Chaoscope you will find a website and an easy to use program to do visuals like these.
