Under every tyranical regime there`s always an underground movement that circulates information, but gathering, sharing, & receiving the info. comes w/a high risk & often only gets into the hands of ppl really seeking truth & are willing to take high risks. In America sometimes ppl pay but basically ppl are free to speak so info. comes easily & freely. Let`s keep this freedom!

We`ve got a Constitution that guarantees all our freedoms & a freedom loving population, yet it is becoming a fight to keep what is guaranteed to us. I don`t know what kids are taught today but when I was a kid it was drilled into our heads that our forefathers shed their blood for each of our freedoms so we needed to appreciate these freedoms & the price paid for them.

May 24, 2010 - @mbenson2790 We are close with SK but you`d be amazed at how many SKs hate Americans & blame America for the divide w/the N. My sister lived there for a year and was physically attacked several times b/c she was an American. She saw anti-American riots as well. And I have also heard SKs talk badly about America. I don`t know how loyal of an ally SK really is but I hope there will never be a WW3.

SK is making threats against the north before we even said anything... their just as loyal as our citizens are to the US. We paid for that ship that got blown up, along with the rest of their military, for the most part. We also train the SKs.

I knw several ppl in the military that have these same feelings. The other sort truly hate America b/c they see America as ignorant & backwards. I know ppl like this as well. They want the US to be like Europe.

May 25, 2010 - @paisleyyama However, even Americans that despise their own country usually still have some sentimental feelings or well wishes towards their own country since they have jobs, family, property, etc. attached with the country. It is very different w/a country that has no sentimental attachments. The hate is colder & more distant. Perhaps the dif. is one is disdain for one`s country but the other can be true hate.

May 25, 2010 - This NK event has caused a major decision in Jp. Jp has been telling the US to move the military bases in Okinawa. They`ve insisted on it but aft. this event Hiliary came to Jp & Jp agreed to keep the bases purely based on this NK event. Jp periodically gets "test" missles fired at her from NK & NK spy ships come into the Jp territory so the sit. w/NK is always volatile. NK likes to test her neighbors & show off her military.

May 26, 2010 - @thepenrev Japan has a Self Defense Force, but really her hands are tightly tied as to military action. After the US defeated Jp in WW2 the ruling pwr of the Emperor was removed,Jp was stripped of her military rights & had to put in the new Constitution that the only time Jp was to use military action is if she is directly attacked. So America has stayed in Jp since WW2. In a sense Jp is occupied by US militarily.

Basically to maintain its own nat`l identity the US said it had to come in, write the Constitution, etc. US beat Jp & these are the US rules. It`s not a Jp choice & it`s America`s way of keeping an upper hand on China b/c it can use Jp land & req. Jp loyalty & they do ask Jp to pay for things but still Americans foot a BIG bill by occupying other lands.

Jp gives US lots of leverage b/c JP is right next to China, Russia & NK all these countries are potential threats to US & allies to each other. JP sometimes says to move or dwnsize US military but US says "NO" & reminds JP that US has the last word on the matter. If US left, JP would probably become allies w/China & the US

May 27, 2010 - @thepenrev cont. would greatly lose its pwr over the region. Plus constitutionally US & JP are bound together. The US Constitutionally stripped JP of its rights to any military pwr so the US remains in JP. JP is sort of US war booty. JP land is used for US military purposes & pwr in the region while economically & socially JP is independant. In this way JP is dif. than other countries that US occupies.

Jul 24, 2010 - North Korea always warns of war when things do not go there way. This is nothing new. Kim jong has " short mans complex " always talking big but that is all it is; is talk. If North Korea ever did start a nuclear war they would be wiped of the face of the Earth, and Kim knows it. Nothing will ever happen. If North Korea really wanted to do it they would, and there is nothing well could do.
