Aug 26, 2010 - @Antzcceltic1 There have been any movies that used the original work, Adagio for Strings. Platoon and Lorenzo's Oil are the two big ones that come to mind. Homeworld was, to my knowledge, the first mass entertainment product (other than simple recordings of the piece itself) to incorporate this vocal arrangement of the piece, and it did so masterfully.

Aug 26, 2010 - @briskycat I don't take my freedom for granted. Once you lose your country, your freedom, and your family, then you can appreciate the things you seldom have. Please don't be sorry for me. Be happy that you are free as I am happy for you.

Aug 26, 2010 - @Nguli34689 Indeed. I feel sorry for all your losses. I think that when we care for the least among us, somewhere, someone knows.

Aug 29, 2010 - @J4CK5TER You an engineer so it means your not emotional by nature? Oo I really don't see how those 2 are connected... I am an engineer and I've never noticed we're any less or any more emotional than other people.. Maybe you should improve your knowledge of human physiology..

Belboz63 Says:

Aug 29, 2010 - Probably the most incredible version I've ever heard! Thanks for posting this! :D

athropos Says:

Aug 29, 2010 - @J4CK5TER You nailed this perfectly my friend. I prefer the choir version because it brings a much more human side to this piece. This sounds like the combined voices of humanity weeping for the meaningless nature of our existence on earth. But under the surface of this piece there is, I beleive, some strenght. Humanity will never give up.

Aug 29, 2010 - @dzhibrish I'm an egineer too; seems like a lot of engineers listen to this. o.0

Aug 29, 2010 - Simply stunning, one of the most haunting versions of this piece of music i have ever heard. I am just in awe of people who can compose such beautiful works of art.

baldbloke Says:

Aug 29, 2010 - @J4CK5TER I do agree about the engineer v emotion bit. As an (IT) engineer myself, we deal with machines all our lives but every so often we get a powerful reminder like this that we are still human and this beautiful piece of choral harmony servers (sic) the purpose. I just wish my musical talents were as good as my technical ones... :-)

ahmedgy Says:

Aug 30, 2010 - @J4CK5TER No. You're emotional, you've to. I love how you put this in words 'Somthing has ended, Something precious is irredeemably lost.'. Thats exactly how I feel when listening to this, I just couldn't put in words.

Aug 30, 2010 - This can really help you learn something about yourself. If you close off everything around you and let it be just you and the music it can take you to your deepest emotions. This peice of art have made me realize... emotional things. Things that are so simple put hard to grasp. Luckily this peice help you understand, if it makes any sense. If not well, makes sense to me.

Aug 30, 2010 - This is a spiritual healing song for me. It heals my heart. It heals my soul. It helps renew bonds between myself and others because of how this song makes me think of them. It also cleanses my mind. This is a truly cathartic piece that I think anybody could be healed from. It's like a pallet cleanser for your mind, heart, and soul. It's the most beautiful song I have ever heard.
