Sep 9, 2009 - Weta got busy with James Cameron's Avatar. They did some work on District 9 (e.g. the base ship) but the majority of the effects work was done at 3 Vancouver-based visual effects shops - Image Engine, The Embassy, and Zoic Studios. (VFS wasn't directly involved in the making of D9 - over 40 of our alumni were.)
